Hal pertama yang perlu kita lakukan adalah klik kanan pada ikon status jaringan notifikasi dan memilih untuk Buka Network and Sharing Center dari menu konteks.



Then click on Change adapter settings hyperlink on the left side of the Network and Sharing Center.


Now right click on the network adapter you want to change the DNS settings for and select properties from the context menu.


When property to open network adapter, you will need to select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP / IPv4) from the list, and then click Properties.



This will open the IPv4 settings for the network adapter. You will see at the bottom of the dialog that your PC is set to get its DNS settings "auto", you will need to change it so that we can manually specify the DNS server we want to use. Now simply select the services below and enter the DNS server address.

Google DNS

Preferred: 8.8.8.8
Alternative: 8.8.4.4

OpenDNS

Preferred: 208.67.222.222
Alternative: 208.67.220.220

We chose to go with Google DNS for now - while they can use this data to track your browsing habits, personally we do not worry about it.

  1. Also note that per Google documentation on Google DNS, the two IP addresses could be swapped, that is 8.8.4.4 could be the preferred DNS while 8.8.8.8 is the alternate DNS.
