The 8.1 update is completely free to all existing users of Windows 8 and Windows 8 users can now upgrade their Windows 8 installation to Windows 8.1 Preview with a few mouse clicks.


Before we tell you how to upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows 8 Preview, it is important to note that you must have at least 4 GB of free space on the Windows 8 drive successfully upgrade to Windows 8.1.

Step 4: After the restart, you will see the typical setting up text on betta fish boot screen. Your PC may restart several times.



Step 5: When you see the license agreement screen, click the I Agree button to continue.

Step 6: Next, you will see the option to customize various system settings, setup your account, and SkyDrive.

Step 7: You should now be able to see the Windows 8.1 is the new Start screen.
