While it is possible to set Windows as default OS in camp and boot into Windows without pressing the Alt key (option), users who use OS X as their primary operating system may not like the idea.



Users who frequently boot into Windows and look for a better way to boot into Windows should try a small program called BootChamp. BootChamp for Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later help you to quickly boot into Windows without having to manually restart and hold the Option (Alt).

Once installed, BootChamp sit in the menu bar and provides a simple way to restart into Windows. The first time you use BootChamp to restart into Windows, you will be prompted to enter the password admin. After this, however, you don 't need to type a password.

The only downside is that BootChamp not ask you to confirm the action when you click Restart to Windows. That is, if you accidentally click Restart to Windows option, BootChamp will take you to the Windows boot.


Please note that BootChamp not change the startup disk. Also note that the default setting, BootChamp OS X Launch at startup and appear on the menu bar. If it does not start at startup, run the software, click on the icon Champ Boot on the menu bar, click preferences, and then click Run at startup.
