A short tweet from AngelWZR reveals that Windows 8.1 build 9369, the one that got leaked a few hours ago, consists of a touchpad settings that provide the user with more customization in terms of this rule.
Basically, Windows 8.1 that allowed users to enable or disable the touchpad, edge motion, and direction control swap.
Of course, it's not clear whether Microsoft is planning to bring all of these options in the final build of Windows 8.1, but given the fact that they are already there, at least considering the configuration option to offer more for devices that use the touchpad.
