Microsoft | Sofware | Windows 8.1 's "Start Menu" to Feature Shut Down, Reboot Options | Windows 8.1 's "Start Menu" to Feature Shut Down, Reboot Options | Windows 8 no longer offer full-featured Start Menu, but comes with a smaller replacement that can be easily accessed by simply pressing Win + X combo on your keyboard.

While users rarely switch to these features, Microsoft called it quite useful "Start Menu" for Windows 8 users who want to quickly load power options, Task Manager, program options, and Control Panel.

It turns out that the Softies are planning to introduce several new options in this menu, including an entry dedicated to close and reboot the system.

As you can see in this picture, a new shortcut to access the network connection will also be part of Windows 8.1.

Keep in mind that this is only an alleged screenshots leaked, so nobody can say for sure whether it was real or not. Time will prove it, however, as Windows 8.1 Preview is set to arrive on June 26.
