Microsoft | Sofware | Stopping Microsoft TechNet Subscriptions Starting 31 August | A bad news comes to IT practitioners and TechNet subscribers. Services that provide early access to a variety of Microsoft products such as Windows, Office, etc. are going to be disabled.

TechNet does not immediately shut down, but the extension of the subscription will be suspended starting August 30, 2013 later. Customers who have already paid can activate their account to 30 September 2013 and will be active until 30 September 2014 next year.

At a cost of only $ 199 per year, TechNet subscribers can download and use almost any Microsoft product before the product is released, be it Windows, Office, etc.. That way they can evaluate, try, even providing tutorials and training on the software is earlier.

Even if the count is calculated to be much less expensive if a TechNet subscribers rather than having to buy Microsoft products one by one.

Microsoft stated that they turned off the TechNet Subscription seeing a change in technology trends are now more free than paid prioritize resource in evaluating a product. Therefore they will be focusing on providing their products for free evaluation through the TechNet Evaluation Center.

Now the only way that can be done by IT practitioners to be able to get an early start is the Microsoft product with a MSDN subscriber. But unfortunately the subscription price is much more expensive than TechNet, the initial cost of $ 6,119 to $ 2,569 renewal fee per year.
