Microsoft | Sofware | Outlook 2013 RT Preview Officially Released as part of Windows 8.1 | Windows RT 8.1 update brings us a preview version of Outlook 2013 RT, a new email client that is specifically designed to run on Microsoft's tablet-oriented operating system.
Application is installed automatically on the Windows RT along with 8.1 Preview, so you should now be able to see the shortcut placed on the Taskbar.
Outlook 2013 RT is only capable of running in desktop mode, and there is no support available for the Metro today.
In addition, Outlook 2013 RT lacks some important features, but some of them may be executed at a later time.
For example, do not offer Microsoft Exchange Tips DLP policies, mailbox site, online or Personal Archive Archive mailbox, do not run macros, add-ins, or other special program, does not allow you to set the IRM in a new email message, and there is no integration between applications and Lync.
