You can actually change the format with as you, let's say you want to replace it with Day-Date-Month-Year or Day-Date-Month. You can set the format with as you, using numbers or alphabet for Day, Date, Month or Year.


How to Change the Date Format in Windows 8

First, open Control Panel with a view to Small and click Region.


Under the Format tab you will see a format that you can set the date, there Short date to a short date format, Long date to long date format, Short time to format a short hour and a Long time for hour long format. If you change the format it will be immediately displayed in the Examples.


To be able to change the date format, such as changing the day with the numbers or the alphabet you click the Additional settings button.


In the Customize Format window you can change the date format in the Date formats, d for numbers, dd for 2 digits, ddd for the day with 3 alphabet name, and the name dddd for the day. It is also the same for months, M for months with 1 point, MM with 2 digits for the month, MMM for 3 months with alphabet names, and MMMM for the month name. Delimiters you can also change the date with your wishes.


After you change the date format in accordance with your wishes, click Apply and OK. When there is a window Region click Apply and OK again. Last out of the Control Panel and look at the date on the Taskbar located in the bottom right corner of the screen.
